Ayodhya: A 60-year-old man from Jalgaon, Maharashtra named Vilas Bhavsar promised in 1992 not to wear shoes until a large Ram temple was built in Ayodhya. After 32 years, when a new idol was placed in the Ayodhya temple in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bhavsar wore shoes again. A minister from Maharashtra gave him a pair of sandals at a local event.
