BSF caught a smuggler with 45 gold biscuits worth over 3 crore rupees

West Bengal:

The Border Security Force (BSF) caught a smuggler with 45 gold biscuits worth over 3 crore rupees near the India-Bangladesh border in West Bengal.

They arrested the man, named Samrat Biswas,  who was trying to bring the gold from Bangladesh to India by hiding it in a truck. This happened in Haldapara area near banks of river Ichamati .

 

In other incident,

The Border Security Force (BSF) stopped a smuggling attempt along the India-Bangladesh border. Spokesperson said that they were patrolling the Brahmaputra River in Assam and found 12,397 kg of sugar worth Rs 7.65 lakh, which was going to be smuggled into Bangladesh. They also seized two boats with engines. The sugar and boats are now with the customs office for legal action.
