Meanwhile, the men’s team suffered a 3-0 defeat against South Korea.
The Indian women’s team, coming off a win against Hungary, decided to rest Ayhika Mukherjee and Sreeja Akula, bringing in Archana Kamath and Diya Chitale. Kamath began with a comfortable victory over Uzbekistan’s Rimma Gufranova. Batra followed suit, defeating Markhabo Magdieva, while Chitale faced a bit of pressure but ultimately secured a win against Rozalina Khadjieva, sealing India’s second consecutive win in the tournament.
However, the men’s team faced their second straight loss after starting their campaign with a defeat against China.
