Kisan Morcha rejects Centre’s MSP proposal for five crops?

Farmers, represented by SKM leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, haven’t discussed the Centre’s proposals yet, and there’s no agreement so far.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) has rejected the Centre’s MSP proposal for five crops, calling it Punjab-centric.

The Kisan Mazdoor Morcha and SKM representatives, who met with Union ministers, are yet to respond to the proposal.

The proposed MSP for maize, cotton, arhar/tur, massur, and urad dal seems focused on Punjab, leaving concerns about other farmers unaddressed.

“The proposal is meant to divert and dilute the focal demands of farmers” he said.
