The ninth edition of the India International Science Festival (IISF-2023) commenced its state-level outreach in December 2023. The main event is scheduled to take place at the RCB-THSTI campus in Faridabad (Haryana) from 17th to 20th December 2024. Organized jointly by various ministries including MoST, MoES, DSIR, DBT, DoS, and DAE in collaboration with Vijnana Bharati, this mega science festival celebrates India’s scientific advancements since 2015.
Despite challenges, such as the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, IISF adapted and held a successful virtual edition, showcasing the country’s digital prowess. The IISF-2020, organized by CSIR-NIScPR, highlighted India’s digital capabilities through an engaging online fair, reflecting self-reliance and self-sufficiency even in the digital space.
