PM inaugurating multiple rail and road projects worth over Rs 4500 crores in West Bengal

Viksit Bharat Viksit West Bengal' program in Siliguri, The Prime Minister spoke about the inauguration of two road projects worth more than Rs 3,000 crores in Northern West Bengal. He said that four laning of Ghoshpukur - Dhupguri Section of NH 27 and four-lane Islampur Bypass will reduce traffic jams in the cities of Jalpaiguri, Siliguri and Mainaguri while also providing better connectivity to the regions of Siliguri, Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar. Dedicates to nation multiple projects of electrification of rail lines and several other important railway projects.

Prime Minister Modi addressed the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit West Bengal‘ program in Siliguri, inaugurating and dedicating multiple rail and road projects worth over Rs 4500 crores.

He emphasized the importance of modernized infrastructure, especially in North Bengal, as a gateway to the Northeast and neighboring countries.

Projects like electrification of rail lines and new passenger train services will boost connectivity and development in the region.

PM Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to the rapid development of Eastern India, considering it the nation’s growth engine.(pib)
