The incident of violence has occurred again in the state of Manipur with the discovery of thirteen bodies in the hilly area near Leithu village in the Tengnoupal district. An armed clash between two groups took place on Monday afternoon, with the police recovering these 13 bodies. No weapons were found with them. This area is situated near the Myanmar border. The local residents haven’t been able to identify these deceased individuals so far. Some observers speculate that they might have been coming from Myanmar. There’s a possibility being suggested by some sources that the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) might be involved in this incident. It’s also possible that this could be a fight for dominance. This incident comes after the December 3rd peace agreements between the Indian government and the Kuki militant groups – the Kuki National Organisation (KNO) and the United People’s Front (UPF). In this area, several restrictions are imposed along with a ban on the internet in certain places.
