The need to extend the reach of new medical technologies in the healthcare sector to the general population-Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

On the 18th in Nagpur, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis invited medical colleges to take initiative in extending the benefits of medical technology to the general public. He inaugurated the unveiling of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar’s statue at the Lata Mangeshkar Hospital premises under the Vidya Shikshan Prasaraka Mandal, the expansion of Ranjit Deshmukh Super Specialty Hospital building, and the inauguration of the Physiotherapy Museum and Resource Learning Center. During the event, Fadnavis, along with various dignitaries including former minister Ranjit Deshmukh, executive chairman Ashish Deshmukh, MLA Sameer Meghe, trustee Dr. Kajal Mitra, deputy trustee and medical superintendent Dr. Niteen Devtale, were present.

Through the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, as well as the Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, healthcare facilities have been extended to the general population, providing health services free of cost up to five lakh rupees. Deputy Chief Minister Fadnavis invited the rural population to avail themselves of these facilities.
