In Noida, 76 vehicles that didn’t have special secure number plates were fined on Friday. This was part of a road safety campaign by the local transport officials. They also fined people who were driving without wearing seat belts.
Assistant Divisional Transport Officer Siya Ram Verma said as part of the campaign, “the Transport Department today issued a challan to 76 vehicles which did not have HSRPs. Challans were also issued to offenders who were found driving vehicles without wearing a seat belt.”pti.
